About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry - Experience with diagnoses of diabetes, med/surg, post op, wound vacs, bariatrics - Proficient in Epic Description: Minimum experience required is 1 year. First time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Valid BLS certification is required. The position involves a patient ratio of 1:5-6, with an average daily census of 28. The unit has a total of 33 beds. Communication and charting are done using Epic. Navy blue scrubs are required. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Floating may be required within the facility/scope of practice. Call requirements include every other weekend and holidays as needed. Holidays: If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two. Compliance is required to start on time. Once the candidate has signed, management has 48 hours to review the profile. All time away from previous facilities must be accounted for before applying. No RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or during orientation week. Max RTO is 7 days per contract. If one to two holidays are during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested. If three holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO may be considered. All compliance documents are due prior to the start date, and onboarding must be completed. Modules are completed during orientation and are non-billable, with hours factored in for NBO. Documentation will be recorded via transcripts.
