Pharmacy Technician - Heights Area, Houston, TX

Location: Houston, TX - Heights Area

Pay Rate: $19.00-$22.00/hour

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join a busy outpatient clinic in the Heights area of Houston, TX . This is an excellent opportunity for a registered Pharmacy Technician who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and is confident supporting pharmacists, clinical staff, and patients with accurate and efficient pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations in a busy outpatient clinic setting.
• Prepare, fill, package, and label medications under the direction of a pharmacist.
• Receive, process, and accurately document medication orders and prescriptions.
• Assist with medication inventory, stocking, organization, and storage.
• Monitor medication supplies and notify appropriate staff when replenishment is needed.
• Receive and assist with verifying medication deliveries.
• Process patient medication requests and provide professional assistance with pharmacy-related questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and appropriately direct questions to pharmacy or clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate records and follow established pharmacy procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the pharmacy team in maintaining an organized, efficient, and patient-centered environment.
• Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required.
• Proficiency with Epic and Microsoft Outlook required.
• Strong math, reading, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy outpatient clinic environment.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach.
