2020 Coney Island Ave Brooklyn, NY 11223, US Purpose The Jewish Board’s Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families. Our staff use a culturally affirming, person-centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, instill hope and strengthen resilience. Programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities. Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the program’s leadership team and is primarily responsible for implementation and oversight of new/innovative clinical services or models of care, clinical supervision and professional development of licensed staff. Additionally, the role ensures clients receive timely access to quality clinical services; oversees administrative functions to support program operations; and ensures program compliance with federal, state, and city regulatory bodies and funding entities. Responsibilities Clinical Services Identify gaps in clinical services and develop solutions to fill them. Lead implementation of evidence-based treatment or direct oversight of innovative models of care, in partnership with JB training department and/or external agencies. Ensure timely admissions, discharges, case assignment and adequate case load to minimize client wait times. Monitor show rates and appointment availability. Provide direct services to clients, including intakes and crisis interventions. Supervise crisis intervention services. Perform other clinical duties as assigned. Implement quality improvement initiatives. Participate in quality assurance activities such as chart reviews and utilization management. Provide individual and group supervision to program staff. Integrate recovery, rehabilitation, treatment and vocational components of the program, as appropriate. Monitor and follow up on program incidents. Personnel Participate in hiring and orientation of new staff. Complete performance appraisals and address performance concerns. Conduct or participate in staff training and development. Monitor staff attendance and vacation scheduling to ensure program coverage. Supervise staff, as appropriate to licensure. Plan and participate in other program activities. Administrative Functions and Program Operations Facilitate team meetings, case conferences, and other meetings. Ensure program and staff compliance with regulations and standards of care. Utilize electronic databases to monitor billing and address billing or fiscal issues. Identify and develop systems to improve program operations. Serve as backup to other program leadership when necessary. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Requirements Master’s degree in human services. New York State clinical licensure: LCSW, LMHC, or LCAT. Solid clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices. Excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication skills. Experience working with electronic medical records. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
