Work Environment

This is an onsite position based in Buffalo, NY, working in patients' homes where the environment is designed to be reassuring and accessible. Collaborating closely with a team of fellow physical therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work in a supportive setting that prioritizes collaboration and teamwork. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop individualized care plans that address their unique healthcare needs and mobility challenges.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour, ensuring that each session is both productive and focused on achieving set therapeutic goals.
• Implement evidence-based treatment modalities to enhance the physical capabilities of patients, closely monitoring their progress and adapting plans as necessary.
• Utilize state-of-the-art physical therapy equipment and techniques to provide effective interventions that may reduce reliance on medications and surgical options.
• Document all services and interventions comprehensively, using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, to maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Engage in continuous communication with other healthcare providers to align goals and strategies for patient care.
• Deliver motivational support throughout the rehabilitation process, empowering patients in their journey towards improved functionality.
• Promote a proactive approach to health, focusing on preventive care that supports clients in achieving better strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Stay current with industry best practices, technological advancements, and new treatment methodologies to provide high-quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves patients with private medical insurance, who often seek treatment for a variety of conditions, especially those related to orthopedic scenarios. You will work closely with adults and the elderly, helping them navigate challenges associated with mobility and daily living activities. Each patient's case is nuanced and requires a compassionate, tailored approach to unlock their potential for recovery and improved quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) as a minimum requirement.
• Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license in New York State.
• A clean professional record, without any board actions or disciplinary measures against your license is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of comprehensive exercise regimens.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of implementing effective rehabilitation programs and achieving positive patient outcomes.
• Experience working with a diverse patient population, fostering strong therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
