Work Environment

The rehabilitation center operates onsite, fostering a collaborative environment where healthcare professionals work closely together. You will be part of a cohesive team consisting of two other experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, offering a balanced work-life scenario while dedicating your efforts to enriching patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to recognize and fulfill the functional goals and rehabilitation needs of each patient effectively.
• Manage an individualized patient load, primarily seeing one patient per hour, ensuring quality care and attention to each case.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including hands-on manual therapy.
• Encourage and educate patients in non-surgical alternatives while emphasizing cost-effective treatment options to enhance motion and mobility.
• Document each patient's journey diligently to monitor progress, evaluate treatment efficacy, and maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders.
• Foster a motivating environment that inspires patients to engage actively in their therapies, enhancing their overall functional capacities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in providing holistic care, ensuring comprehensive treatment approaches.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT to document services provided and track patient interactions efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse client population primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance, often presenting with sports-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, and chronic orthopedic conditions. By focusing on their unique challenges, you will help these patients navigate their recovery paths effectively, promoting their return to daily activities and athletic pursuits.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• No prior board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated strong manual therapy skills and a deep understanding of orthopedic therapeutic methods.
• Experience in developing and implementing effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, ideally with a focus on sports medicine.
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques based on real-time patient feedback and progress.
• Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications.
