Studio Manager

Job Summary The Manager of Studio is responsible for the daily operations of the Studio and all activities geared toward profitability and efficiency. The role manages employee staffing, audits files, generates reports, and works with trade partners to maintain accurate product information. The Manager collaborates with internal departments on current floor plans, spec level information, and builder-included items, and closely partners with Corporate Studio on current promotions and incentives for buyers and studio employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and implement procedures that enhance performance at the assigned studio in accordance with corporate and/or division policies. Drive the Studio sales process to meet volume and operating margin goals. Conduct interviews and provide hiring recommendations. Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and ensure completion of training. Create a positive, motivating, and challenging work environment to promote sales performance. Build strong relationships with internal departments such as Sales, Purchasing, Construction, Customer Service, Marketing, Daily Units Processing, and Mortgage. Reinforce CSI and JDP standards with studio consultants and provide results to senior leadership. Resolve elevated or challenging customer‑service issues in a timely manner. Ensure all prospects and existing customers are contacted regularly. Work with sales, marketing, operations, and studio employees to ensure all options are correctly reflected in the system and assist with volume and commission improvements (including pricing and availability per plan). Audit KB Home’s customized database for accurate information on all product offerings. Audit current plans in various systems for accuracy and availability. Communicate discrepancies to appropriate departments. Shop the competition regularly for pricing information. Prepare and submit daily reports, including number of daily browse and final appointments, volume and commission data on all options sold, and other reports as requested. Manage rollout meetings and related process changes with Studio Consultants and/or vendors, including leading rollout meetings and providing product information and implementation strategies to the Studio team. Location Position is located on‑site at 1299 N. Orchard St. Suite 201, Boise, ID 83706. Education / Experience / Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Four‑Year College degree preferred. Prior experience managing direct reports preferred. Home building or related industry experience preferred. Strong experience in delivering high‑quality customer service programs. Understanding of market and industry trends. Demonstrated management capabilities, including personnel selection, employee development, and training. Ability to connect with people and develop and maintain professional relationships. Action oriented with a drive to push sales to successful closure. Proven ability to be customer‑centric by seeking solutions from the customer’s perspective. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate accurately and persuasively. Proven ability to lead and execute effective training sessions or conduct strong oral presentations. Strong ability to work within a team setting and cooperate with others’ ideas. Ability to make quick, accurate decisions based heavily on facts, data, and metrics. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Work 8‑hour days with flexibility for additional work hours when necessary. Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
