Work Environment

Located in the heart of Chula Vista, our center offers a dynamic and supportive work environment that values teamwork and patient-centered care. As an onsite role, you will work directly with patients in a contemporary rehabilitation facility, where each day presents unique challenges and opportunities to apply your clinical skills. You will operate in a fast-paced setting with a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, fostering a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' conditions using comprehensive assessments to establish appropriate treatment plans.
• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions, maintaining a manageable patient load to ensure personalized attention and care.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and targeted exercise interventions, to enhance patients' mobility and range of motion.
• Develop and implement individualized fitness and wellness programs accommodating each patient's unique physical capabilities and rehabilitation objectives.
• Promote a holistic approach to patient recovery, emphasizing the significance of strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination in everyday activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient assessments, treatments, and progress, ensuring compliance with medical records standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of treatment interventions and modify plans as necessary in response to patient progress and feedback.
• Lead patient education sessions, addressing lifestyle modifications and prevention strategies to minimize future injuries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus lies in providing care to individuals with private medical insurance, including athletes and those recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries. Many of our patients require rehabilitation after sports-related injuries, chronic pain management, or post-operative recovery. As our Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in empowering these patients to regain their physical capabilities, promoting their independence and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist without any board or disciplinary actions against it.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and implementation of effective exercise programs.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient tracking.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and coordinate care with healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to administer effective, patient-centered therapies that reduce reliance on medication and propose non-surgical alternatives.
• Experience in designing tailored wellness programs that incorporate health education and lifestyle management strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

Our Physical Therapist position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, accompanied by an extensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
