Manufacturing Technician - Contractor - B Silicon Carbide Tech

Job Title

Pay Range: $16.53hr - $45.33hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4+ years of prior relevant experience or 2+ years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• US Citizen with ability to get a US Secret security clearance.
• Ability to work in a dusty environment with PPE.
• Ability to adapt to changing work schedules depending on production needs.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial machinery used in the casting and processing of Silicon Carbide ceramics.
• Follow detailed work instructions, read drawings and/or schematics per industry specifications, and quality standards to ensure all products meet strict space flight requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
• Perform inspections and measurements to verify product specifications and document results accurately.
• Adapt to changing production schedules and business needs, including participating in cross-training and improvement projects during slower periods.
• Safely handle and move materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and environmental protocols.
• Work effectively in a dusty environment while using appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to support continuous improvement and resolve production challenges.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop new skills and support other areas of the foundry as needed.
