Logistics & Dock Coordinator

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: $20-$24/hour  DOE
Location: Marietta, GA 30062
Experience: 3+ years running a shipping & receiving dock, including LTL/FTL management and BOL creation.

Logistics & Dock Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Dock Ownership: Fully manage daily dock operations for all inbound and outbound orders, ensuring a safe, efficient, and organized flow of materials.
• Freight & Carrier Management: Coordinate directly with truck drivers, customers, and public carriers; independently manage  LTL and FTL shipments.
• Documentation & Admin: Accurately create and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) and utilize the company  ERP system to track, route, and manage orders.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to stage materials efficiently and ensure routing accuracy.
• Material Handling: Safely operate a sit-down forklift and pallet jacks to load/unload trailers, route materials to designated areas, and secure loads (shrink-wrapping, palletizing).

Logistics & Dock Coordinator Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience successfully operating a busy shipping & receiving dock.
• Proven experience managing LTL/FTL loads and a strong understanding of logistics paperwork (BOLs).
• Proficiency with ERP systems or specialized warehouse management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable acting as the primary point of contact for external drivers and vendors.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks autonomously.
• Minimum 3 years of sit-down forklift experience with a  clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) .

Physical & Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Must be able to provide 2 professional references.
• Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
