Hardware Engineering Center PositionThis position is onsite in our McKinney, TX campus.What You Will DoParticipate in multi-discipline teams supporting primarily military programs through application of EE resources and design processes.Work on the design, analysis and support of electronics products.Positions available include design or support work in the following areas:EO/IR, digital, analog, sustaining and production electronics support, components engineering, and product development engineering.Digital, analog, FPGA/VHDL programming or ASIC support, sustaining and production electronics support, components engineering, and product development engineering.Transistor level analog and EO/IR design of Integrated Circuits using multiple modern semiconductor technologies.FW Design, development, and support.Depending on the person's area of interest and experience, responsibilities may include:Participating as a team member in detailed circuit design.Configurable digital logic development using VHDL.Work with engineering and production personnel to troubleshoot and provide root cause and corrective action to design and process issues.Design advanced electro-optical solutions for our industry-leading systems that enhance sensing, targeting, and surveillance capabilities, empowering our defense forces with state-of-the-art technology.Perform hands-on lab work in analog and/or digital electronics, including troubleshooting and system integration.Utilize industry-standard CAE tools and EE lab equipment for design, simulation, and testing.Develop schematics, HDL code, and conduct synthesis, simulation, and validation of designs.Conduct circuit analysis, component selection, and root cause analysis with corrective actions.Document design approaches, test results, and technical issues in a structured and organized manner.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support supplier interactions, and contribute to design reviews.What You Will LearnYou will learn and utilize applicable internal processes and tools for the development of system level hardware. In addition, the successful candidate will learn frequent use and application of technical standards, concepts and techniques.Grow your collaboration skills by making recommendations for a variety of technical problems of appropriate scope and complexity, working under general supervision.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.Experience in schematic capture, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronic systems.Experience in fault isolation / root cause correct action involving complex electronic systems.Experience with reading drawings and electrical schematics.Experience in testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits.Experience documenting test results and repair recommendations.Experience with design instruments such as Matlab, LabVIEW, Keysight ADS, Genesys, PSPICE, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD, Mentor Graphics Design Architect, Mentor Expedition Design & Analysis Tool Suite and/or DX Designer for PWB schematic capture.Qualifications We PreferUnderstand Ethernet, UDP, and 1588 protocols.Working knowledge of EE lab equipment (i.e., Vector Network Analyzers, Power Meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, signal sources).Experience with ModelSim / QuestaSim.Strong TCL scripting capability.Experience with FPGA toolchains (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, or equivalent).Familiarity with Git or equivalent version control systems.Experience with simulation-based verification.Exposure to JIRA or similar issue tracking methodologies.Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, including HDL generation workflows and integration into FPGA toolchains.Experience supporting integration and test activities in a lab environment.Experience designing airborne electronic products with stringent size, weight, and power (SWAP) constraints.Mentor Graphics XPedition schematic capture.Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.What We OfferA total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
