Employees also enjoy access to events like Chiefs and Royals games, dinner theaters, plays, and World of Fun, with some tickets provided to each employee.$25.62/hour starting pay$25.91 per hour, after full completion of required trainings (1.5 years on average)Up to 120 hours (15 days) vacation annually (depending on schedule)11 paid company holidays401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, life insuranceCareer growth and cross-training opportunities8-hour shifts1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm Monday-FridayMust be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as neededPlant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.Follow all department safety guidelines, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lockout proceduresPosition railcars using the Shuttle Wagon and unload grain into the receiving pitAssist with unloading trucks and other grain-receiving activitiesEnter required grain, truck, and railcar information into the Unified Grain System (UGS) and verify information for accuracyComplete required paperwork, data entry, and other documentationPerform sanitation throughout the grain elevator facility, including sweeping, shoveling, vacuuming, and other tasks in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)Monitor equipment and perform routine maintenance checks on the Shuttle Wagon, dust collectors, hydraulic car door opener, and other assigned equipmentMaintain proper fluid levels and complete minor maintenance on the Shuttle WagonComplete minor repairs within the scope of the position and communicate maintenance needs or generate work orders when additional repairs are requiredComplete required training and learn the next position in the Elevator department's line of progressionProvide coverage for the Spouter position as neededAssist other areas of the department and perform additional duties as assignedAssist in training new employeesHigh school diploma or GEDAt least 2 years of mechanical and/or technical experience in manufacturing or related industryAbility to work 8-hour shiftsMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensManufacturing or production experienceMinimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/production environmentApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
