Lecy Bros. Homes & Remodeling is seeking a highly organized full-time Residential Construction Estimating Administrator to manage and execute all aspects of the company’s estimating functions. This position oversees estimates from all subcontractors and suppliers, manages bid packages, and compiles required documentation for building permits and change orders.

The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing multiple hats, possesses a strong residential construction background (both field and estimating experience), and can independently prioritize multiple bids in a fast-paced environment. This position involves approximately 80% office work and 20% field work (conducting site visits to verify project scope and assess site conditions).

This individual will be involved in meetings where they will be reviewing plans, documenting specification changes and will need to be able to communicate with our customers on a professional level.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Plan Review & Scope Analysis: Review and interpret project plans, architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to accurately determine project scope, material requirements, and project needs for both new construction and major remodeling projects.
• Bid Package Management: Send out invitation-to-bid (ITB) requests to subcontractors and suppliers. Organize, review, and evaluate incoming subcontractor bid packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Field Visits & Scope Verification: Conduct on-site visits (approx. 20% of work time) to assess existing job conditions, verify measurements, and gather crucial field information for estimating and project planning.
• Building Permits & Administrative Support: Request, compile, and submit all required documentation for building permits across local municipalities.
• Change Order Management: Document ongoing project additions and deletions by creating and tracking change orders on an active, continuous basis.
• Database Maintenance: Perform ongoing administrative management of the company's estimating database, subcontractor/supplier directories, and historical cost records.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Maintain clear, proactive communication across all project stakeholders, including clients, field staff, subcontractors, office support staff, and company management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Field Experience: 5+ years of hands-on residential construction field experience in remodeling or custom new home construction.
• Estimating Experience: 2+ years of residential construction estimating experience.
• Blueprint Reading: Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, architectural drawings, engineering plans, and technical specifications.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel for budgeting and data management.
• Experience with builder management software (such as Co-Construct , Buildertrend , or Ressio ) is a strong plus.
• Construction Knowledge & Codes: Deep understanding of how residential projects are put together (sequencing, assembly, and trades), along with working knowledge of construction methods and local building codes.
