Industrial Maintenance Technician – Immediate Start – 2nd & 3rd Shift

Location : Northlake, IL

Pay : $37.00 - $43.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Job Type : Full-time, Permanent Union Position (Hiring ASAP)

Work Hours : 50 - 70 hours per week (Consistent, reliable overtime pay)

Shifts Available :

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Summary

We are hiring full-time Industrial Maintenance Technicians and Mechanics for an immediate start at our high-speed, automated manufacturing facility in Northlake, IL. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex automated machinery, PLCs, and electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical & PLC Troubleshooting: Diagnose high-speed automated machinery, PLCs, and 3-phase power distribution systems.
• Mechanical Repair: Fix pneumatic, hydraulic, and complex mechanical system failures.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine PM schedules to maximize plant safety and uptime.
• Heavy Machinery Support: Repair industrial motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and power transmission units.
• Fabrication: Perform structural welding and basic metal fabrication as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot PLCs and read electrical schematics.
• Industry Experience: Experience with corrugating or high-speed packaging equipment is a major plus.
• Work Ethic: Dependable work history with the drive to handle 50-70 hours of weekly production demands.
• Environment: Comfort working hands-on in a fast-paced industrial production plant.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $83000.00/yr.
