If you are passionate about aviation, join our Columbia Family!What You Will DoSet up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision aircraft parts.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Maintain, repair, and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures.Inspect and test completed parts to ensure they meet specifications.Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.Keep records of production output and equipment maintenance.Collaborate with engineers and other machinists to troubleshoot manufacturing problems.Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery used in the machining process.Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.Train and supervise new or junior machinists.What We Need From YouHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 5 years' experience in manual machining requiredPrior machining experience in aviation industry preferredTraining and experience utilizing Lean methods in a production environmentAbility to locate, read and follow the technical data appropriate for the assigned taskAbility to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasksAbility to work overtime and/or weekends as assigned dependent on production needsAbility to work in a shop environment or work outdoors locally or in remote locations as needed for customer supportGood written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environmentConduct oneself in accordance with Company's Core ValuesWhat You Will Love About Working HereAt Columbia, we believe great people do their best work when they feel supported, challenged, and valued.
