Each generation of products is better than the previous.Thompson Pipe Group is now the largest and most diverse drainage, sanitary, pressure and trench-less pipe provider, with manufacturing locations across the country and serving not just the US but all North America.Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for an Accounting Clerk. He/She will be responsible for processing invoices to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, reviewing purchase orders, and processing payments.Essential FunctionsProcesses accounts payable invoices in accounting software which involves sorting, data entry, coding general ledger account, and scanning/filing payment packet.Prepares bi-monthly check runs, submits weekly ACH requests, and makes miscellaneous payments via vendor portals.Research/follows-up on processing problems which include contacting both internal departments and outside parties to resolve inquiries.Timely resolve inquiries from vendors and multiple entities, including correspondences via phone, fax and E-mailRecords cash receipts in accounting software and scans/files supporting documents.Assists with month-end close processes including but not limited to: reconciling cash deposits and paymentsconfirming subledgers agree with general ledgerreviewing key accountsPrepares and files monthly sales and use tax submittals to State Agencies.Assists with annual 1099 filings.Assists with gathering supporting documents for annual audit.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Required SkillsProficient in using MS Excel, outlook, Adobe PDF, or equivalent tools.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Ability to work independently and as a team member.Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills.Proven experience with GL coding.Three-way matching experience.Ability to process a high volume of A/P invoices daily.Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.Previous experience with Tradogram and Sage 100 ERP systems is a plus.2+ years of Accounting clerk experience a plus.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
