Credit Analyst

Kforce has a client in Columbus, OH that is seeking a Credit Analyst. Summary: The Loan Documentation Quality Control Analyst is responsible for conducting comprehensive quality control reviews of loan documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with approved credit terms prior to client execution. This role requires strong knowledge of lending documentation, statutory and regulatory requirements, financial analysis, data integrity, and credit processes. The position works closely with Credit Risk and other stakeholders to identify deficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend process improvements. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive quality control reviews of loan documents prior to client execution to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards
• Review loan information and ensure appropriate and accurate financial information is obtained from applicants
• Maintain detailed knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory, and internal requirements governing lending and loan documentation
• Review and interpret credit requests to determine appropriate documentation requirements
• Review and understand credit agreement terms following financial analysis and credit approval, including Credit Approval Memorandums, in partnership with Credit Risk
• Validate that loan documentation accurately reflects approved credit terms, conditions, and supporting financial information
• Utilize advanced computer and analytical skills to assess data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and reliability, challenging assumptions and identifying inconsistencies when necessary
• Identify, document, and communicate quality control deficiencies and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely corrections and updates
• Perform root cause analysis on identified deficiencies and develop recommendations to prevent recurring issues
• Demonstrated expertise in quality control processes, with a strong focus on Credit standards, evidenced by practical application and results-driven performance
• Solid understanding of legal documentation and/or loan closing activities within the credit lifecycle
• High level of proficiency in organizing, priority-setting, and clear results delivery
• Relationship management and interpersonal skill, especially with business partners
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and creative problem solving
• Advanced proficiency in using computer systems and related technology for data analysis and problem-solving
• Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze root causes of quality issues, with a track record of proposing and implementing effective solutions
