.5 Athletics Secretary

Athletics Secretary Granby Memorial High School is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Athletics Secretary (.5 FTE) to support the Athletic Department. This 10-month position plays an important role in ensuring the efficient daily operations of the athletic program while providing administrative support that contributes to a positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, families, and the school community. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (190-day position) Essential Responsibilities: Manage the athletic department budget, including purchase orders, bus invoices, bank deposits, and financial recordkeeping. Coordinate athletic schedules, transportation, and related logistics. Maintain athletic rosters and student participation records. Monitor athlete physicals, medical documentation, and eligibility deadlines. Coordinate student activity forms, fundraising requests, and departmental paperwork. Maintain athletic equipment inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Promote athletic events and achievements through social media and other communication platforms. Facilitate communication with coaches, students, families, officials, and community partners. Qualifications: Experience with budgeting, purchase orders, and financial recordkeeping preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail. Experience using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; school-based software experience is preferred. Experience with social media promotion and communications is desirable. Ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive working relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.
