Assist physicians with Bronchoscopy Procedures under departmental policy including monitoring and assessment of the level of consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems; as well as delivery of IV conscious sedation agents to include drugs in the classifications of opioids, benzodiazepines and sedative-hypnotics and their reversal agents. Initiate ventilator protocols; implement and coordinate ventilator management. Perform advanced airway care to include tracheotomy changes, extubating, and intubation. Initiate and monitor high-frequency ventilators. In NICU, perform surfactant delivery, intubation and attend high-risk deliveries. Perform optional procedures: transport team, intubation and backup charge therapist. Initiate and monitor Nitric Oxide delivery. Perform department-specific functions as detailed within the summary of the department-specific duties. Other duties as assigned. Compensation & Differentials Sign on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified candidates. Shift Differentials: nights $5.00 and weekends $3.00 Preceptor Differential Differentials for higher education, certifications, and various lead roles. Career Ladder Program – differential pay for advanced certifications: RPFT, CPFT, Perinatal Pediatric, ACCS, RPSGT, etc. Qualifications Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) Respiratory Care Practitioner – NM BLS ACLS and/or PALS Six months to one year of critical care experience preferred.
