Compensation

$20–$22/hour + performance-based bonuses and membership sales incentives

This is an hourly sales position with the opportunity to increase total earnings through appointment-setting, membership sales, and monthly performance bonuses.

About the Role

This is not a "sit behind the desk and wait for people to walk in" position.

As a Fitness Sales Specialist , you'll be responsible for generating appointments, building relationships with prospective members, conducting facility tours and consultations, and converting prospects into long-term members.

You'll serve as one of the first points of contact for prospective athletes and families and play a critical role in helping them find the right training solution for their goals.

This is a fast-paced, performance-driven sales role where effort, consistency, and follow-up directly impact your success.

Because our members train before school, after work, and on weekends, this position requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends to support consultations, events, and facility operations.

What You'll Do

Lead Management & Appointment Setting

• Make outbound calls, texts, emails, and follow-ups to new and existing leads

• Respond quickly to inbound inquiries from our website, social media, events, referrals, and other lead sources

• Schedule free trials, consultations, facility tours, and athlete evaluations

• Maintain consistent communication throughout the lead journey

• Follow up with prospects who have not yet enrolled

• Work an assigned lead pipeline consistently and proactively

Membership Sales

• Conduct facility tours and introductory consultations

• Build rapport and identify individual goals, challenges, and motivations

• Recommend the appropriate training program and membership option

• Guide prospects through the decision-making process with confidence and professionalism

• Convert trial participants into long-term members

• Help families understand the value of consistent training and long-term athletic development

• Ask for the sale and confidently overcome common objections

CRM & Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records, notes, and activity tracking within the CRM

• Manage lead pipelines and follow-up schedules

• Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics

• Ensure all prospect and member information remains organized and up to date

• Maintain consistent follow-up standards across all assigned leads

Community & Growth Initiatives

• Support community outreach events, camps, combines, and promotional activities

• Generate referrals from current members and local partnerships

• Represent the D1 Training brand professionally throughout the community

• Collaborate closely with coaches to create an exceptional member experience

• Support member onboarding and the transition from prospect to active member

Performance Incentives

In addition to your hourly compensation, this position offers opportunities to earn performance-based incentives.

Potential incentives include:

• Appointment Show Bonuses for qualified trial and consultation appointments that attend

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales experience in inside sales, membership sales, retail sales, customer service, or a related field

• Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and follow-up contacts

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Ability to confidently ask for commitments and close sales

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Positive attitude, coachability, and a strong work ethic

• Ability to thrive in a goal-oriented and performance-driven environment

• Availability to work some evenings and weekends as needed to support member consultations, events, and facility operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fitness, health, sports, or membership-based businesses

• Experience using CRM systems and lead management tools

• Experience conducting consultations, tours, or presentations

• Passion for fitness, athletics, and helping people achieve results
