Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient's specific needs, preferences, and goals, employing evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, tracking their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments based on patient feedback and clinical assessments.
• Provide various therapeutic services, including psychotherapy and counseling, utilizing approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, ensuring a comprehensive approach that addresses all aspects of a patient's well-being.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journeys.
• Document and monitor patient progress meticulously, including medication responses and therapy outcomes, to inform clinical decisions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; a Master’s or Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing is preferred.
• Currently licensed and credentialed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Florida.
• Minimum of one year of experience in mental health settings, demonstrating a solid foundation of knowledge and practice.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
