Role:

The Contamination Technician is responsible for supporting the control, monitoring and continuous improvement of contamination conditions within the battery manufacturing processes. Analyse the process of production and identify risk points for contamination control. Perform investigations regarding the origin of contamination. Implement control points for process control of contamination.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled contamination monitoring activities across assigned manufacturing areas.

• Install, inspect, collect and manage particle traps in accordance with defined Process Engineering standards.

• Conduct routine contamination audits of production processes, equipment and manufacturing environments.

• Perform airborne particle monitoring.

• Conduct local contamination mapping to identify contamination sources, patterns and high-risk locations.

• Support investigation of abnormal contamination results and emerging contamination trends.

• Ensure contamination control activities are completed according to agreed schedule and standards.

• Maintain accurate records of contamination monitoring results.

• Escalate abnormal contamination conditions promptly to Process Engineering, Quality and Production.

• Propose practical improvements to contamination control methods.

• Maintain contamination-control documentation and monitoring records.

• Document identified abnormalities, investigations, actions and verification results

Requirements:

• Technical diploma, apprenticeship, professional qualification or equivalent manufacturing experience in engineering, quality or manufacturing.

• Experience within a controlled manufacturing environment.

• Experience in battery, automotive, semiconductor, electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical-devices or other contamination sensitive manufacturing environments is advantageous.

• Practical understanding of manufacturing processes and production equipment.

• Ability to follow technical procedures accurately and consistently.

• Ability to collect, record and interpret technical measurements data.

• Good understanding of structured problem solving principles. • Strong attention to details and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work effectively with Process Engineering, Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.

Specific skills:

• Ability to use particle monitoring and contamination measurement equipment.

• Good documentation and data recording skills.

• Good computer literacy and ability to work with standard data-recording and reporting tools.
