Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Overview Registered Nurse – PACU in Bangor, ME. Start date 08/31/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Day shifts in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,968-$2,100. The RN works under the supervision of the Unit Director, with Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse providing shift-level oversight. This assignment is for a PACU specialty, requiring an ASN with BSN preferred, and Maine RN licensure (or a compact license) will be required. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,968-$2,100 Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Start date: 08/31/2026 Setting: Hospital PACU unit in Bangor, ME Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit under supervision of the Unit Director. Monitor vitals, airway status, level of consciousness, pain, and recovery milestones; respond to changes promptly. Administer medications and therapies per physician orders and hospital policy; document care in the medical record. Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to optimize patient safety and smooth handoffs to the next care setting. Maintain infection control standards, patient safety protocols, and accurate, timely documentation. Prepare patients for discharge from PACU or transfer to the appropriate subsequent unit. Requirements Current Maine RN license or compact license ASN required; BSN preferred Certifications: BLS current or within 30 days of hire; ACLS current within 90 days; PALS current within 1 year Experience: 1-3 years in PACU or related perioperative patient care preferred Education: ASN required; BSN preferred Ability to work in a PACU environment; strong communication skills; effective multitasking and teamwork Note: If the traveler resides within 50 miles of the facility, a $10/hour pay decrease applies; up to 16 hours of orientation are unpaid; the assignment can be canceled up to 3 shifts per 13 weeks Benefits and Support Assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Potential for extension opportunities
