Facilities Specialist

Facilities Specialist Location 72 South Main St. Canandaigua, NY 14424. Travel to all CNC locations as needed. Essential Duties Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment, coordinate work, perform preventive maintenance, handle basic repairs and maintenance, and oversee contractors when professional repairs are required. Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; respond to inquiries or requests for information and prioritize requests received. Be available for "On Call" to address after-hours and weekend emergencies. Maintain a clean and safe environment: pick up trash and debris, pressure wash buildings and pavement, mow grass, trim shrubbery, maintain landscape, clear snow and ice, clean spills, straighten walk‑off mats, wash windows, and perform similar custodial and exterior maintenance duties. Operate bank‑owned vehicles (requires a valid New York Driver's License) to travel to CNC properties in Ontario, Monroe, Cayuga, and Onondaga counties; responsible for care, maintenance, and service of vehicles. Efficiently address tasks within the work order system, including prioritizing, responding, escalating, and documenting. Diagnose maintenance and repair issues, evaluate corrective options, and determine when external vendors or contractors must be contacted. Maintain equipment: replace light fixtures, bulbs, ballasts; repair all fixtures (toilets, door closers, emergency lighting); reset exterior street clocks. Coordinate work with all vendors and contractors and provide on‑site escort and supervision as required. Understand and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and other work diagrams. Install office components such as keyboard trays, under‑counter computer brackets, sit/stand workstations, and modular furniture systems. Deliver or pick up mail, supplies, food, documents, storage boxes, merchandise, and other materials. Cooperate with, participate in, and support adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management, overall safety and soundness, and the bank’s compliance with regulatory requirements (CRA, BSA, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.). Skills and Qualifications Basic reading and writing skills. Basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and painting skills. Strong organizational, follow‑up, and detail‑oriented skills. Ability to comprehend written materials and instructions. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet search functions. Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lb. and move objects weighing up to 150 lb. using a hand truck or dollies (e.g., stoves, refrigerators, filing cabinets, furniture).
