Facilities Specialist

Location & Status Full‑time essential worker required in Charleston, SC. Responsibilities Coordinate facilities activities, including space planning, administrative and contingency planning, safety coordination, ergonomic assessments, and procurement. Coordinate maintenance and service for the site. Manage vendor relationships for site services. Oversee physical security vendor and badging system, providing daily, monthly, and audit reporting. Manage internal moves and furniture installations for both small‑scope and large‑scope projects, including coordinating with managers, developing floor plans, scheduling moves, sub‑contracting help, packing, marking furniture, and overseeing installers and designers/architects. Review and approve design plans and installation schedules to ensure compliance with company guidelines and budget. Develop space planning and workstation designs using CAD. Maintain furniture inventory, including purchase, inspection, and tracking of available and in‑use materials. Create and update monthly reports on service requests, actual expenses versus project budgets, and CAD file updates. Manage interior amenities such as company art collection, signage, redesign, removal, relocation, ordering, and complaint resolution. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Two‑year associate or technical degree, or equivalent experience. Minimum five years of experience in commercial interior design, space planning, and furniture systems. Knowledge of workstation and panel systems. Ability to work on multiple projects, multi‑task, manage time effectively, and demonstrate flexibility in responding to conflicting deadlines and priorities. Strong communication skills with clients and team members, and ability to work independently without guidance. Compensation Annual base salary: $60,000 – $70,000.
