Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit in an inpatient acute care setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on Adult exam); maximum of three attempts allowed
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, including third-degree heart blocks and pediatric arrhythmias
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
