Your Impact As Director of Marketing, you’ll provide strategic leadership for all aspects of marketing while helping execute initiatives that strengthen our brand, engage customers, and drive business growth. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both developing long‑term strategy and rolling up their sleeves to help bring great ideas to life. You’ll oversee our marketing efforts across digital channels, print, events, public relations, email marketing, content creation, advertising, and customer engagement. Evaluate current marketing initiatives and technology. Develop a strategic marketing roadmap with measurable priorities. Identify immediate opportunities to improve marketing performance. Within Your First Year Strengthen brand awareness across key markets. Increase qualified website traffic and customer engagement. Improve marketing ROI through data‑driven decision making. Expand digital marketing and customer acquisition efforts. Lead, mentor and develop the marketing team. What You’ll Do Marketing Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi‑channel marketing strategy aligned with company objectives. Lead annual marketing planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement. Partner closely with executive leadership to support long‑term business growth. Identify emerging trends, technologies, and market opportunities. Brand Strategy Strengthen and protect the High Mowing brand across every customer touchpoint. Ensure consistent messaging, visual identity, and customer experience. Guide product positioning and promotional campaigns. Digital Marketing Email marketing Paid search Paid social advertising Social media marketing SEO Website content Content marketing Marketing automation Campaign Management Plan, launch, monitor, and optimize marketing campaigns. Analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements using data and analytics. Manage testing strategies and performance reporting. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team. Foster collaboration, creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively. Communications & Public Relations Develop strategy for the following channels: retail and wholesale catalogs, newsletters, press releases, customer communications, and promotional materials. Build relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry partners. Represent High Mowing at industry events and trade shows. Customer Engagement Grow email subscriber lists and retention rates. Build and guide strategy for social media communities and affiliate marketing across multiple platforms. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Product Development, and Executive Leadership to support company initiatives and business objectives. Marketing Technology Required Experience in the following: Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) CRM/marketing automation platforms Google Analytics Google Ads Meta Ads Manager Content Management Systems (CMS), especially WordPress Email Marketing Platforms (Mailchimp) SEO and Keyword Research Tools Microsoft Office Suite What You Bring Required Qualifications Five or more years of progressive marketing leadership experience. Experience developing and executing marketing strategy. Experience leading and mentoring marketing or creative teams. Strong understanding of branding, customer acquisition, and digital marketing. Experience managing marketing budgets. Excellent written, verbal, editing, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and project management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to build productive relationships across all levels of an organization. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). Experience with paid social and search advertising. Experience with marketing automation platforms. HTML or website content management experience. Public relations or media relations experience. Familiarity with organic agriculture, horticulture, or seed production. Experience using Acumatica ERP/CRM is a plus.
