Our client seeks a Product Owner to define, deliver, and manage the lifecycle of multiple client products. The role partners with business and technology stakeholders, leads product teams, and drives backlog, roadmap, and release execution in an agile environment with bi-weekly releases.

 

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

 

Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Define and manage the product roadmap for multiple client solutions.
• Build, groom, and prioritize the product backlog while managing expectations with stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Manage sprint planning and participate in agile ceremonies including reviews, grooming, and retrospectives.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer, worker, and user needs.
• Gather market feedback through user interactions, focus groups, and industry research.
• Write functional specifications, user stories, and product documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and analysts to deliver new products and features.
• Align on vision, strategy, decisioning, execution, and measurement with cross-functional partners.
• Communicate roadmap stages and timelines to internal stakeholders.

Experience Requirements:

• Sharp, action-oriented, consultative, entrepreneurial Technical Product Owner.
• Ability to quickly develop domain expertise in Transmission and Distribution Planning and translate needs into priorities, user stories, and roadmap decisions.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agile practices with bi-weekly releases.
• Seven or more years in the utility industry with knowledge of Transmission and Distribution operations, planning processes, or related technology products.
• Agile Product Owner certification and Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
• Experience with Jira.
• Entrepreneurial and action-focused with experience shipping software.
• Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to product development teams.
• Passion for technology products and innovation opportunities.
• Self-directed with proactive problem anticipation and opportunity identification.
• Excellent communication and influence skills across organizational levels.
• Experience in fast-paced new product or technology development environments.
• Experience operating in KPI-driven environments with accountability for outcomes.

The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
