Executive Director of Marketing

The Executive Director of Marketing is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Marketing department and maintaining strategic alignment across all functions, while leading the Marketing directors in their efforts to attract and retain guests through the output of their individual departments. These departments include but are not limited to general marketing functions (print, media, creative services, and social media advertising), database strategy and player loyalty programs, VIP and Casino Host services, public relations and community outreach, call center and guest-experience teams. Plans and collaborates with the Vice President of Marketing to effectively implement the brand marketing programs that will lead to overall success and achievement of the company’s business objectives. Measures and communicates to the Vice President of Marketing the department’s strategic performance. Continuously evaluates the department’s resources with the aim of building brand awareness, increasing customer traffic (including repeat visits), increasing their length of stay, ensuring the best use of budget dollars and driving incremental value. Ensures Marketing Directors are aligned with marketing strategies that ensure targeted return on investment and maximum revenue for operations. Ensures proper and consistent execution of advertising campaigns across all marketing channels. Strategically leads departments targeting all markets for special events, promotions, and activations. Oversees the implementation of player loyalty and direct mail programs to maximize customer reinvestment and facilitate retention. Implements and amends departmental policies and procedures to help ensure the department delivers and maintains a maximum level of property-wide guest service and satisfaction. Implements short-term and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures as determined by the Vice President of Marketing. Meets with and brings together Directors regularly to monitor achievements towards individual and department goals, as well as operational effectiveness, making recommendations and implementing changes required for improvement and maximum success. Partners with other departments to promote their products and services to attract and retain guests. Monitors and reviews departmental budgets on a regular basis. Maintains a professional profile at VIP events with constant presence and interaction with guests. Effectively manages and promotes positive, fair, and ethical internal and external guest relations, which may require levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy. Responsible for the hiring, training, discipline, scheduling, and completion of performance evaluations for managers and directors and provides communication to staff to ensure successful management of all hospitality efforts. Ensures compliance with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls and government rules and regulations. Attends periodic all-property meetings and training sessions. Maintains relevant knowledge of the industry through continuing education and training. Organizes and presides over regularly scheduled meetings with employees within the department and with other departments as appropriate to ensure effective property-wide communication. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience required. 10 years of marketing experience, with 7+ years in a supervisory capacity. Prior tribal casino gaming experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of energy and output. Comprehensive understanding of player tracking systems and complimentary guidelines consistent with normal industry standards.
