Technical Management Scientist (Unconventional Computing)

Job Family:Research Scientists (SCI)Travel Required:Up to 25%Clearance Required:Active SecretWhat You Will Do:Guidehouse is seeking a Scientific Engineering Technical Assistant (SETA) to support in the area of “unconventional computing” with the overall aim to achieve orders of magnitude improvement in computation speed while expending orders of magnitude less energy in space-constrained environments. The efforts will focus on analog and hybrid analog-digital approaches to achieve such computing capabilities. Approaches will consider a wide gamut of technologies to include but are not limited to photonic and organic nonlinear materials and devices, coupled oscillatory states, quantum-inspired devices, synthetic biology, as well as suitable interfaces between such technologies and conventional electronic transport methods. The candidate must also possess a strong background in nonlinear problem solving, optimization, generative AI, and other types of large-scale processing algorithms to support the nonconventional computing approaches of interest and their end users.What You Will Need:An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearanceMaster's Degree in a science or engineering fieldFOUR (4) or more years' experience with technical project management and/or as a technical advisor.
