Interim Accounting Manager

Interim Accounting ManagerOur client is seeking an experienced Interim Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and provide leadership to the accounting team during a critical transition period. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, leading the month-end close process, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting reporting and compliance initiatives.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on accounting leader who can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day accounting responsibilities while partnering with operational leaders across the organization.ResponsibilitiesLead daily accounting operations, including general ledger management and financial transaction oversightOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, and payroll-related accounting functionsManage the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparationReview and analyze financial results, identifying variances and providing recommendations to leadershipSupervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring productivity, accountability, and professional developmentMaintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, tax filings, and regulatory requirementsSupport external audits and ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and audit-readyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAt least 5 years of progressive accounting experienceAt least 2 years of prior experience leading or supervising an accounting teamExperience managing month-end close and financial statement preparationAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables and vlookups) and proficiency with ERP/accounting systemsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing business needs.Pay Details: $45.00 to $58.00 per hour
