As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Circuit in Brooklyn, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $42.24 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and assigned security-related duties at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations, verifying credentials, observing for suspicious activity, and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
• Support emergency response activities and operational continuity by following post instructions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and preparing accurate incident and activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Concealed Carry Weapons Permit is required.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A Corrections Officer License is required.
• A Law Enforcement Officer License is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
