Senior Paralegal

Scion Staffing is conducting a search for a Senior Paralegal on behalf of a highly regarded litigation law firm. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity based in New York City , supporting patent litigation matters.


This position is ideal for an experienced litigation paralegal who enjoys managing complex cases while mentoring and supporting junior paralegals. The Senior Paralegal will partner closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation, assist with trial preparation, oversee discovery and case management, and help coordinate workflow across the litigation support team.



Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of complex litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal
• Coordinate paralegal support across multiple litigation matters and assist with prioritizing assignments
• Mentor, train, and provide day-to-day guidance to junior paralegals
• Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, correspondence, discovery materials, and expert files
• Manage document productions and assist with large-scale discovery projects
• Prepare deposition materials, exhibits, witness files, and deposition summaries
• Support expert discovery, including organizing expert materials and coordinating reports and depositions
• Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including exhibit lists, trial databases, and courtroom logistics
• Conduct factual and legal research using litigation databases and online resources
• Coordinate with litigation support vendors, court personnel, and outside service providers
• Assist with process improvements, special projects, and administrative litigation support as needed

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably supporting patent litigation
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or coordinating the work of junior paralegals or litigation support staff
• Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed in support of depositions, hearings, and trials

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $120,000-$165,000 annually, depending on experience
• Hybrid schedule (up to two remote days per week)
