Join our dynamic team as a Speech Therapist in a PRN capacity! Pediatric experience is essential.

Compensation: $45.90 - $51.20 per hour, depending on experience!

Work Schedule: PRN, with travel required to clients' residences.

The Speech Therapist will deliver therapy services to clients promptly, following physician directives. This role involves tracking and reporting client progress within the organization. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess and treat clients, liaise with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, and ensure accurate documentation of services provided.

• A minimum of a master’s degree in Speech Pathology , along with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or equivalent experience of at least one year working with adults and children with neurological disorders affecting language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, and swallowing. The candidate should be capable of working independently within the department.
• A valid Speech Pathology license in the relevant state (if applicable) or actively gaining the necessary supervisory experience for licensure.
• Registration with the Department of Health or eligibility for registration.
• Preferred membership in the Speech Language Hearing Association.
• Preferred membership in the Speech Hearing Association.
• Ability to audibly and visually process and synthesize substantial amounts of information (e.g., in-service training, evaluations, therapy tasks).
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret professional evaluation materials to stay updated in the field, prepare in-services, conduct assessments, and make clinical decisions.
• Capability to independently analyze and resolve issues related to oneself, clients, and others.
• Ability to manage stress from a caseload that may include frustrated clients.
• Strong organizational skills to follow complex instructions and manage schedules effectively.
• Basic math skills.
• Interest in geriatric rehabilitation.
• Proficient in using personal computers, Servox devices, and augmentative communication tools.

• Assess and create suitable treatment plans aimed at enhancing communication efficiency for clients.
• Conduct evaluations and develop effective treatment plans as per physician requests, securing approval for services.
• Initiate prescribed treatments and keep the physician informed about client progress.
• Document evaluations, weekly progress notes, discharge summaries, and other necessary information in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained as per state, federal, and third-party payer regulations.
• Keep accurate records following agency policies and procedures.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members regarding client progress, challenges, and plans.
• Engage in rehabilitation conferences regularly.
• Participate in client care planning meetings.
• Provide education to clients, families, and staff as needed.
• Contribute to in-service training programs for agency staff as requested.
• Adhere to the Speech Language Pathology Practice Act in the state.
• Perform additional duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.

Preferred:

• 1 year(s): Experience with adults and children facing neurological disorders, including language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, and swallowing.

Required:

• Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.

• Speech Therapist license.
