Clinical Technician 2 – Medical Surgical Unit Falls Church, VA, United States Job Description Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 - Medical Surgical to join the team. This role will be full-time, nights; days vary,6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.; three (3), 12-hr shifts per week; rotating weekends & Holidays. Clinical Technician 2 - Medical Surgical Job Responsibilities: Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse. ADLs Blood Draws IV Insertion Catheter / Foley insertion Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors. Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Training: Must be available for six (6) weeks of paid training, consisting of: Virtual modules Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM On-unit training with department hired into (times TBD) May perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications : Education : High School diploma or equivalent. Experience : One year of experience in an acute care setting as a clinical technician or successful completion of one acute care clinical rotation in an Accredited RN Program and/or two years of nursing school completed Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English About Us We are Inova, Northern Virginia’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
