· This job is a member of the Payroll Operations team within the Finance Division.

· Responsible for timely and accurate processing of assigned employee payroll checks including collection, review, input, edit, output and verification of payroll data.

 

What you'll do

· Processes payroll data accurately by the required deadline

· Consistently applies company policy and government regulations to all processing

· Maintains the security and confidentiality of all payroll related information

· Reviews audit reports for accuracy and requests corrections as necessary

· Researches team member inquiries and provides solutions as required in a timely manner

· Knowledgeable of labor agreements and applicable processing requirements to specific workforce groups, such as unions

· Organizes and maintains records utilizing special processing that reduces the occurrences of incorrect payments to employees

· Adheres to existing SOX processing maps and requirements

· Assists in special projects, system testing, and other duties as assigned

· Documents and updates procedures

· Analyzes business processes, making changes as necessary to increase efficiencies, adhering to existing SOX processing maps and requirements

· Analyze large amounts of data using Microsoft tools such as Excel/Macros

 

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

· High School diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent training/experience

· 3 years of working in a high volume, multi-state payroll department and/or payroll, accounting or human resource experience

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

· Experience with payroll systems (SAP preferred)

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience/training

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

· Above average customer experience and organizational skills

· Ability to work as a team player in a high stress environment

· Use of analytical skills to identify and address potential issues

· Ability to explain and interpret complex payroll information to employees at all levels of the organization

· Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Excel, Word)
