See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview: As part of the talented Customer Experience team, you will be responsible for conveying Service needs to the product teams; acting as the interface between the dealer/customer/boat builder and the product team. This position is involved in new product/model introductions, analyzing field failures, answering product related questions to dealers, OEMs, field staff, and others. The position communicates Service information from the field to Engineering. The position manages communication to the field about product fixes and other issues.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver. Essential Functions: Provide Service guidelines to product teamsProvide input as subject matter expert for operator’s, installation, and service manualsParticipate in review process for product and service literatureProvide support and input for the Parts Catalog teamProvide direction for accessories and kitsDocument detail of changes for presentations and trainingParticipate in activities related to warranty reductionCommunicate with customers and dealers as requiredMonitor and respond to the CPR (Current Product Request) systemMonitor and respond to early warning Known Issues List items and submit relevant CPRInitiate and write service bulletins and memosSupport all aspects of Mercury University with a focus on video and curriculum developmentRelay field service information to the appropriate groupsProvide training for Technical Account Managers, Product Application Engineers, and internal Service personnelDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:Thorough knowledge of Outboard and MerCruiser productStrong mechanical aptitudeThorough knowledge of 4-stroke engines and engine control systemsThorough knowledge of Mercury Helm Control systemsUnderstanding of 2-stroke engines and control systemsUnderstanding of Diesel engines and control systemsUnderstanding of emissions control devices as it applies to gasoline enginesUnderstanding of Marine Electrical system layout and integrationThorough knowledge of Mercury Diagnostic tool platformsUnderstanding of customer service philosophy and procedures of the companyVerbal and written skills for communicating effectively with all levels of the organizationInterpersonal skills for dealing with others effectivelyAbility to take on assignments on short notice and meet tight deadlinesKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Associates degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of marine engine experiencePrevious Lean Six Sigma or Design Thinking experience Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of marine engine experience The hiring range for this position is $86,500 – 126,800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
