Building Automation Sales Professional

We’re working with a growing building automation and HVAC controls business that is looking to add an experienced Building Automation Sales Representative to its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in BMS/BAS, HVAC controls, mechanical systems, or service sales to take ownership of a territory, develop new business, and build long-term customer relationships.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for growing sales across building automation construction, controls upgrades, service, and maintenance agreements. The role combines new business development, consultative selling, estimating, account management, and customer relationship building .

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify, target and qualify new customers and sales opportunities within the territory
• Build relationships with facility directors, building owners, contractors, engineers and other key decision-makers
• Conduct consultative sales meetings to understand customer challenges across HVAC, controls and building systems
• Develop and sell construction, retrofit, service and maintenance opportunities
• Prepare, present and negotiate proposals through to close
• Identify opportunities for controls upgrades, digital services, sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives
• Lead customer kick-off meetings and ensure a smooth transition from sales into operations
• Maintain and expand existing customer relationships and service agreements
• Develop referral networks and generate repeat and pull-through business

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3+ years of progressive sales experience
• Experience selling Building Automation/BMS, HVAC controls, HVAC services or mechanical systems preferred
• Background in construction, retrofit, service or maintenance sales
• Strong understanding of HVAC and/or building automation systems
• Commercially minded with a proven ability to identify and develop new opportunities
• Ability to understand technical customer requirements and translate them into commercial solutions
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating with technical and operations teams
