Medical Assistant – Internal Medicine / Family MedicineSchedule: 8-hour shifts between 08:00 – 18:00.Assignment DetailsFloat position may be required to work at other locations.RequirementsMinimum 2 years recent outpatient clinic experience.Recent proficiency with venipuncture required.High School Diploma or GED; Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program.Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC only).Experience with charting in Epic preferred.Clinical skills including vital signs, rooming patients, specimen collection, EKG 12-lead, immunizations/injections, medication administration, and wound care.ResponsibilitiesRooming patients and collecting vital signs.Performing venipuncture and specimen labeling/collection.Taking patient histories and managing telephone triage.Administering immunizations and medications as required.Providing wound care as necessary.Compliance / NotesPre-start modules required and must be completed prior to start.
