Job Description
Medical Assistant - Outpatient Primary Care

Schedule

Expect to work in a high-volume environment with over 100 patients per day.

Assignment Details

Orientation consists of 160 hours. Floating to other locations may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Recent venipuncture experience is required.
• Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant from a DAPIP-accredited program.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC only).
• Experience with Epic charting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and taking vital signs.
• Medication reconciliation and administering immunizations/injections.
• Specimen collection and labeling, as well as basic wound care.
• Performing EKGs and assisting with scheduling and phone triage.
• Managing a high-volume workflow while multitasking effectively.

Compliance / Notes

No time off requests will be allowed in the first two weeks of the assignment.
