Commercial Real Estate Specialist

Our client is a real estate investment firm seeking a due diligence & transactions specialist to join the transaction team. The Role The position will manage commercial real estate transactions from executed agreement through closing, leading property-level due diligence and coordinating with outside counsel and third-party consultants to resolve the full range of issues and deadlines required to close on schedule. This is an individual contributor role reporting to senior leadership on the transactions team; the Vice President will direct the work of a supporting analyst on a given transaction but will not carry formal management responsibilities. Core Responsibilities Manage commercial real estate acquisitions from signed agreement through closing across industrial, office, data center, and essential retail assets (excluding residential) Lead property-level due diligence, including environmental review, coordination with engineers on building condition assessments, and title, zoning, and survey matters Review and interpret commercial leases; evaluate annual property budgets, common area maintenance charges, and reconciliation processes for multi-tenant assets Coordinate due diligence workstreams with outside legal counsel Identify, track, and resolve open issues across multiple concurrent transactions, ensuring deadlines are met and target closing dates are achieved Identify and elevate risk and cost exposure beyond standard checklist items Direct the work of an analyst supporting each transaction Serve as a primary point of contact across internal teams, outside counsel, and counterparties Qualifications Several years of commercial real estate experience with direct exposure to acquisitions (not leasing), ideally in-house at a private equity or institutional real estate platform Strong background in transaction execution and property-level due diligence (title, survey, environmental, lease review); this is not a sourcing, underwriting, or leasing-focused role Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent transactions, correspondence, and open issues with strong organizational discipline Working knowledge of commercial leases and property-level budgets Experience coordinating due diligence with outside legal counsel Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills #J-18808-Ljbffr ECLARO
