Organizational Development Manager

The Virginia Talent Accelerator Program's Organizational Development Manager offers an exciting opportunity to work on multiple projects with the world’s most prestigious companies and partner with them to align people, processes, and culture at their new or expanding Virginia locations.

The successful candidate brings expertise in organizational development, adult learning, and change management, with the ability to translate business needs into meaningful learning experiences that drive individual and organizational success. This role offers a unique opportunity to interface with client companies – primarily advanced manufacturing, technology, warehousing and corporate headquarters – and design and deliver learning and organizational development solutions. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of engaging and comprehensive organizational development training programs based on client needs and learning objectives
• Develop customized training modules that equip employees with the skills needed to excel based on client needs in a face-to-face, self-paced, and eLearning platforms
• Manage module materials to ensure rapid readiness and scalability while developing a suite of standard learning modules that will serve as the program’s core offerings
• Lead the assessment of clients’ organizational needs, and coordinate the design, implementation, and evaluation of tailored programs and solutions that promote professional development and continuous learning
• Collaborate closely with client leadership and serve as a senior consultant to understand the client’s culture, organizational objectives, and needs
• Prepare and facilitate training content designed to meet learning needs of diverse audiences
• Support project scope development, including success measures, delivery criteria, and scope change requests with the Accelerator project team and client stakeholders 
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including visualization developers, video producers, and external vendors to establish project timelines and execute project tasks efficiently
• Develop and maintain pre- and post-assessments, as well as roster data for facilitated trainings
• Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction
• Monitor service deliverables to maintain the Talent Accelerator standard

Experience Required:

• Previous work experience in instructional design for a minimum of 7 years
• Extensive experience designing and delivering training modules using Articulate, PowerPoint, or other instructional design technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills for a setting of up to thirty people
• In-depth knowledge of instructional trends that use technology 
• Working with global work teams in a professional environment
• Ability to work in an accelerated paced environment

Experience Desired:

• Previous work experience in instructional design for 10+ years
• Substantial experience developing and delivering customized process and job-specific training for technician level employees 
• Previous work experience in either program or project management for 5 years
• Extensive experience designing, developing and delivery of training plans
• Experience in workforce development 
• Substantial private-sector experience working in and/or with large, multinational firm(s)

This is a hybrid position based in VEDP’s office in Richmond, Virginia.
