Account Manager - Extended Care (Field Based)

Extended Care Account ManagerTerritory: Candidate will be aligned to the West region, while also supporting national business needs, including Alaska and Hawaii. Ideal candidate will be based out of Los Angeles/Orange County area and must live near a major airport.The Extended Care Account Manager role is a field-based support position within Cardinal Health's Extended Care organization that operates in close alignment with the commercial sales team. The Account Manager supports the advancement of the Medical segment product portfolio by executing against implementation plans, reinforcing solution-based selling strategies, and helping drive adoption across the U.S. Non-Acute marketplace. This position supports a diverse product portfolio, including medical devices such as nutritional delivery pumps and disposable supplies like incontinence products, serving the long-term care market. The role partners closely with the Field Sales Team, Strategic Accounts Team, and marketing groups to support growth initiatives, coordinate day-to-day account activities, and ensure a consistent, positive customer experience.ResponsibilitiesDevelop expertise in features, benefits and value of assigned product portfolio and present these to clinical and economic call points utilizing situational sales methodologyBuild consultative relationships with clinicians, supply chain partners and end users. Maintain positive working relationships with Distribution. Maintain active presence at top accounts.In-service accounts by demonstrating product applications, functionality, and ensuring customers are competent in product usage.Maintain knowledge of the current industry/competitive landscape including healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors and competitive products etc.Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and tradeshows as directedRegular overnight travel required for attendance of regional and divisional events including customer meetings and presentations, customer education, training meetings, and national sales meetingsComplete all required administrative tasks including expense management, new business forms, etc.Responsible for contract compliance related to capital equipmentConduct patient/resident sizing in long term care/nursing homes related to absorbent hygiene (adult briefs/protective underwear).
