Job Description

Job Type: 1 Year Contract position

Work Schedule: Part-Time: 3 days/week

Timings: 8am to 5 pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing assessment and recommendations to Members related to the illness or injury resulting in an initial determination of occupational versus non-occupational mechanism of injury or illness.
• Document and maintain records related to the treatment of Members in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration.
• Interact with Workers' Compensation, Safety, and the Company Physician to facilitate processing of work-related illnesses or injuries.
• Participate in Health and Safety programs.
• Perform regulatory required medical surveillance as indicated by current Occupational Health and Safety Administration standards.
• Respond to medical emergencies.
• Provide follow-up nursing care of Members.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Occupational health and 3-5 years of experience in the field (occupational health setting)
• Current BLS Certification
• Valid California Driver's License
• COHN-S Preferred
• CCM a plus
• Spanish speaking fluency preferred
