Business Systems Analyst

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in enterprise business analysis, requirements elicitation, and technical documentation recovery.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for complex process mapping, data flow modeling, and workflow diagramming.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, SharePoint document repositories, and governance structures.

• Experience in documenting cybersecurity controls, disaster recovery plans, and IT infrastructure dependencies.

• Experience with industry-standard IT governance frameworks including ITIL, NIST, and CIS baselines.

• Experience in interviewing technical Subject Matter Experts to capture institutional knowledge for SOPs and runbooks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery interviews and workshops to capture current-state technical workflows and system dependencies.

• Create process maps, technical diagrams, and dependency matrices utilizing Microsoft Visio and Microsoft 365.

• Inventory and audit existing infrastructure, security, application, and disaster recovery documentation.

• Identify single points of failure, operational knowledge gaps, and process inconsistencies across IT service units.

• Formulate structured source requirements for standard operating procedures (SOPs), system runbooks, and knowledge articles.

• Maintain a centralized documentation backlog, tracking review cycles, priorities, and dependency resolutions.

• Facilitate validation sessions with cross-functional technical teams to verify the accuracy of newly documented procedures.
