Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that emphasize both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing language, speech clarity, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage collaboratively with other professionals - including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families - to develop integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage ongoing progress and comprehension outside of therapeutic sessions.
• Manage periodic inpatient speech therapy assessments, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout treatment durations.
• Maintain current and accurate documentation following state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices through continuous education and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Licenses and Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
