Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Licensed Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting pharmacists, nursing staff, and residents through precise medication preparation, organization, and communication.Responsibilities for Licensed Pharmacy Technician:Enter resident and prescription information accurately into pharmacy systems, verify insurance coverage, and resolve order or authorization issues promptly.Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff to clarify medication orders and address concerns related to prescriptions and treatments.Prepare, package, compound, and label medications in accordance with all safety protocols, pharmacy regulations, and quality standards.Assist with filling, processing, and dispensing medications, including med-cart refills, stat boxes, and emergency medication supplies.Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking, rotating products, monitoring expiration dates, and ensuring proper storage conditions.Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment while supporting additional operational tasks as assigned.Ensure accuracy, safety, and confidentiality in all aspects of medication handling and documentation.Qualifications for Licensed Pharmacy Technician:High school diploma or GED required.Active PTCB certification and a State Pharmacy Technician license required.Strong knowledge of medication names, abbreviations, calculations, and pharmacy regulations.Solid math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.Proficiency in computer systems and pharmacy information technology, with strong keyboarding skills.Reliable attendance, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently while also supporting team efficiency and collaboration.Ability to operate pharmacy equipment such as packing machines, scanners, and printers, and follow proper medication handling and storage procedures.Must meet physical requirements of the role, including extended standing or sitting, fine motor skills, lifting up to 10 pounds, and maintaining clear near and color vision.Our Core Values in Action:Passion – Ensuring residents receive safe, accurate medications through careful attention and commitment to excellence in pharmacy practice.Respect – Treating all resident information, medications, and team communications with professionalism, confidentiality, and care.Excellence – Delivering precise, compliant, and efficient pharmacy services that support the highest standards of resident care.Benefits of Licensed Pharmacy Technician:Tuition reimbursementEmployee referral bonusHealth, vision, and dental benefits401(k) with matchEmployee engagement and culture committeeCompany-sponsored life insuranceEmployee assistance program (EAP) resourcesThe facility provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
