HR Specialist

Job Overview The HR Specialist plays a key role in driving critical human resources initiatives across the organization, with a strong emphasis on compliance and operational excellence. This position collaborates closely with branch leaders, field teams, and corporate departments to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of HR processes and support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This position is full-time hybrid; must reside in FL. It starts at $26 per hour. The role supports our South Florida branches in Florida. Responsibilities Partner with leaders and team members throughout the company on HR compliance matters. Audit the onboarding requirements and associated documents for new hires. Monitor and maintain employee compliance requirements, including licensure, competencies, and certifications. Develop internal controls and conduct pre-survey audits to ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and accessible for regulatory reviews. Be available during surveys to assist with HR/personnel file requests. Communicate effectively with management and employees to support accurate and timely compliance records. Facilitate communications with branch leaders and handle off-boarding (removing from EMRs/Registries such as GCHEX and AHCA) post-termination. Maintain contract expirations and document management for independent contractors when requested. Participate in HR projects and assist with training. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; PHR/SPHR preferred. 3 years of Human Resources experience preferred. 2 years of experience in healthcare including working with healthcare regulatory bodies required. UKG experience preferred. Comfortable working in a fast paced, multi-site environment. Must have good communication and organization skills; detail oriented. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
