This position drives operational excellence by optimizing production workflows, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with internal and external quality standards. This role serves as the key liaison between Engineering, Production, and Quality functions to ensure product integrity, efficiency, safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction. The position combines hands-on engineering expertise with quality system leadership and cross-functional collaboration.Responsibilities:Establish and maintain standard work including routings, standard hours, and process flowDrive capacity planning and line balancing aligned with demandLead daily issue resolution on the floor with clear ownership and escalationEliminate bottlenecks and improve throughput, labor efficiency, and schedule adherenceEnsure all engineering changes follow a formal change management processDrive design for manufacturability and support smooth product launchesOwn and enforce the Quality Management System and all compliance requirementsImplement Built in Quality with focus on defect prevention, not inspectionDrive leading indicators such as FPY and process adherenceOwn corrective action process with root cause, containment, and verified closureEnsure calibration, welding qualifications, and documentation are 100 percent compliantReduce cost of quality including scrap, rework, warranty, and customer issuesLead and develop engineering and quality teams with clear expectations and accountabilityMaintain strong presence on the production floor and drive behavior through engagementBuild bench strength and develop future leaders within the functionPartner with operations leadership to ensure alignment and executionEnsure alignment between engineering, production, supply chain, and salesSupport S&OP through capacity, capability, and execution readinessDrive fast and structured response to customer issues and escalationsQualifications:5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.2+ years of quality assurance or quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment.Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Quality, Welding, or related field preferred.LEAN Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.Experience in metal fabrication and mechanical equipment manufacturing preferred.Strong knowledge of production processes, blueprints, welding standards (AWS/CWB), and quality control systems.Experience with BOMs, routings, and standard cost environments.Proficiency in 2D/3D design software.We're leading the way in global food supply chain solutions and here's how: We're the leading global expert in providing farmers, processors and commercial customers with the right equipment and customized engineering solutions to produce, protect and deliver the world's grain, fertilizer, seed, feed and food supplies.
