Software Systems Engineer

Overview Tapestry Solutions, a Boeing Global Services company, is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to work on the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land‑Attack Missile program in Hazelwood, MO. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software system and subsystem engineering models using Catia Magic Systems of Systems Architect, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, and safety standards. Responsibilities Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Catia Magic Systems of Systems Architect and Department of Defense Architecture (DoDAF). Manage requirements, tracking, and verification for Tomahawk Mission Planning (TMP) system change requests. Plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle‑balanced systems of systems and system solutions. Define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Develop and maintain system engineering models, documentation, and brief key stakeholders on important modifications. Create and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces, designs, and algorithms for TMP systems. Collaborate with software development teams to share expertise and knowledge. Drive TMP software architecture, design, and approach through component documentation development, selection, tailoring, deployment, tools, and metrics. Develop software requirement plans, provide technical solutions for diverse challenges, and implement TMP and industry‑standard software processes. Provide guidance to less experienced team members. Basic Qualifications Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or higher. Experience using Catia Magic Systems of Systems, DoDAF, or similar MBSE software. Proficiency in .NET Framework and SysML (or extensive UML). Experience managing DoD contract requirements. Experience in all aspects of designing and implementing system architecture, requirements, software, and software testing. Preferred Qualifications Experience handling documentation products for developers and stakeholders regarding requirements and system of systems. Experience with development tools such as Subversion, Azure DevOps, and Git. Knowledge of navigation modeling and flight simulation.
