About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP, Business Development to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and closing large, complex enterprise opportunities with a focus on major automotive OEMs and industry partners. This role demands a proactive approach, with an emphasis on building high-value relationships and pipelines that do not yet exist. The VP will operate with minimal oversight, independently developing account strategies, and will be accountable for sustaining multiple high-value relationships over a multi-year horizon. The position requires a genuine hunter mentality, exceptional discovery skills, and the ability to influence opportunities early in the process. The VP will also be expected to lead commercial discussions, negotiate creatively, and maintain a disciplined approach to account management. Applicants must have a demonstrated track record in enterprise business development, strategic sales, or partnerships, with at least 10 years of experience and the ability to engage with executives at the VP, SVP, and C-level. The role is highly demanding, with a requirement for up to 40% travel, and calls for excellent negotiation skills, strong communication, and the ability to operate with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for creating opportunities, be resilient, and possess the emotional durability to sustain motivation through long deal cycles. High self-discipline, personal accountability, and the ability to maintain trust and discretion are also essential.
